Project VBOT is a clinical care model created by the North Carolina Medical Society Foundation (est. 1849), clinically deployed by Triad Behavioral Resources, PLLC in NC and VA, and Pathway Healthcare in MS, AL, and TN. The model is designed to fit real life — making evidence-based, clinician-led care accessible, consistent, and respectful without sacrificing clinical standards.
We believe effective treatment should:
Virtual care allows us to remove many of the obstacles that prevent people from seeking or continuing treatment — while maintaining the clinical standards that make treatment effective.
Project VBOT is a clinical care model — created by the North Carolina Medical Society Foundation, the institutional backbone of medicine in our state since 1849, and clinically deployed by independent licensed organizations: Triad Behavioral Resources, PLLC in North Carolina and Virginia, and Pathway Healthcare in Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee. Care is delivered by licensed clinicians at these organizations, supported by The Recovery Platform's clinical operating system.
David Bolton, LPC, Clinical Director of Triad Behavioral Resources, PLLC, has worked in addiction medicine for more than 40 years. The clinical architecture of the VBOT model reflects decades of real-world substance use treatment experience — built into the model's protocols, provider training, and care standards adopted by both clinical entities operating the model.
This isn't a startup. It isn't an app.
It's clinical addiction care built on proven medical leadership — delivered virtually so more people can actually access it.
Project VBOT serves individuals seeking support for substance use challenges, including those who prefer virtual and private care, have work or family constraints, live in areas with limited in-person treatment, or are seeking structured clinician-led support.
We also work with families, legal professionals, and referral partners when appropriate and permitted.
You don't have to have everything figured out before you call.
